New footage captured the moment a car drove through a crowd of Liverpool fans at a trophy parade.
A 53-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous driving while unfit through drugs.
There were 65 confirmed casualties, and of those, 50 people were sent to hospital and 11 are still receiving treatment.
Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims said the car followed an ambulance into the parade area after a road block was temporarily lifted, after reports a person was having a suspected heart attack.Dozens were taken to hospital last night after the ‘horror’ incident in Water Street, where 800,000 fans had gathered to celebrate the Premier League team’s trophy parade.Radoslav Stamboliev, who filmed the clip, told Metro he thought the driver was ‘coming straight for us deliberately, completely straight faced’ and said there were children ‘everywhere’.

Officers said the ‘isolated’ incident was not being treated as terrorism.
The city’s mayor also expressed concern that the crash had triggered a ‘cesspit’ of ‘hate’ and misinformation online.
He praised the police for dampening speculation as they named the driver as a 53-year-old white British man.
Jurgen Klopp: Incident showed the ‘two faces of life’

Speaking at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said the incident ‘showed the two faces of humanity’.
He said: ‘The most beautiful face for a long, long time: the parade was incredible, the mood was incredible and from one second to another everything changed and we learned again there are more serious things in the world than football.
‘Thoughts and prayers go to the injured people and their families as well.
‘It should have been one of the greatest days in the history of the city, after a long, long time, because we didn’t have the opportunity to do it last time.
‘I don’t know how and why it happened but we know what happened and that’s very bad.’
Not long until people started to ‘sing again’ on iconic Mathew Street

Kiera, manager at Kabin Bar, said the atmosphere of the iconic Mathew Street ‘instantly dipped’ after the crash.
One of the most famous streets in the world, Mathew Street is the location of the new Cavern Club. The Beatles played in the original club on numerous occasions in their early career.
Kiera told Metro: ‘This area was near the last stop, and soon enough we had people running in telling us about it.
‘A dad came in with his two young kids crying by his side – they had witnessed the whole thing. It was very sad.’
But she said it wasn’t long until people were ‘singing again’.
‘It is quiet for a Tuesday night but I can imagine people are just hungover,’ she said.
‘Nothing will change this street, the atmosphere will always be what it is.’
Crash victim ‘locked eyes’ with driver and ‘pleaded for him to stop’
A Liverpool fan run down at the club’s victory parade has described how he ‘locked eyes’ with the driver and ‘pleaded for him to stop’ moments before the car ploughed into him.
Jack Trotter, 22, was enjoying celebrating his team’s success when he found himself ‘face to face’ with the car on Monday.
He was helped by fellow fans and locals into a nearby pub until emergency services arrived to take him to hospital.
Mr Trotter, from Newtownards, County Down, escaped without serious injury and has been discharged from hospital, but fears he could be left with walking problems for weeks.
He had made the trip to Liverpool with his girlfriend, Abbie Gallagher, 22, who screamed out in terror when she saw the car coming towards him.
‘Abbie was a few feet ahead of me, and I was just taking videos singing with Liverpool fans I’d never even met before,’ Jack said.
‘Then I just heard her screaming my name, I put my phone down and by then I was face to face with the car.
‘He had slowed down. And then I put my hands up and pleaded for him to stop, and he wasn’t stopping. Then he clipped me.’
Jack said the incident was ‘very quick’, adding: ‘I did lock eyes with him. People were hitting his car, shouting at him.
‘Everything was very dark. Everything was very blurry.
‘He had ran through me by the time I could get a good look at him.
‘When the car had hit me, the adrenaline kicked in, and I didn’t really, obviously feel anything.
‘And then once I found my partner, the adrenaline wore off, and then I just collapsed on the wall and said “Abbie, that’s me, I’m gone”.
‘We were approached by a few Liverpool men, and then by a bouncer of a pub.
‘She had brought us in, cleared everyone, even though the pub was still full, got a seat for me and and then she went and got the emergency services.’
Asked about his injuries, Jack said: ‘My legs aren’t broken, which is good. It’s just my left leg where it was hit is just a good bit tender.
‘My back’s got slipped disks. I just recovered from a back injury… It’s just brought it back, but 10 times worse.’
Jack and his girlfriend are due to fly home on Wednesday, but he said he was unsure how if he would be able to travel in his condition.
‘We’re going to have to get on with easyJet, to find a way for me to access the plane. I’m not going to be able to walk up steps anytime soon,’ he said.
Describing his memories of the ‘traumatic’ incident, Jack added: ‘It’s going to impact me for a lot of reasons.
‘I’m just thinking, was it actually even real? Was it, you know, a dream?
‘We are still here. However, the worst could have happened.’
Mum thanks restaurant staff for helping her daughter caught up in the attack

A mum has thanked the staff at Mowgli, an Indian restaurant on Water Street, for helping her teenage daughter as the crash unfolded.
The 14-year-old girl was in the city centre to go into an escape room with a friend when staff at the restaurant insisted they go home without worrying about the bill.
The mum, who wished to remain anonymous, told Metro: ‘My daughter was in the middle of eating when suddenly the staff politely informed them no bill was to be paid.
‘They thought it was a car accident, but at that point there were rumours of a terror attack and I panicked.
‘It was a small thing, but staff helped them remain calm and put their safety first.’
Merseyside MPs: Don’t speculate on social media
A joint statement from 16 MPs representing Merseyside have appealed to people not to speculate about the parade crash on social media.

‘He was coming straight for us deliberately, completely straight faced’
Radoslav Stamboliev, who captured the footage provided exclusively to Metro, said the driver nearly hit him and rammed into people stood by him.
The 27-year-old, who had travelled up from London to watch the game, said he heard accelerating behind him before he jumped out of the way just in time.
He told Metro: ‘I heard this massive engine revving behind me and he started to honk his horn as well.
‘He lunged forward and it felt like he was coming straight for us deliberately, completely straight faced.
‘Because he made so much noise before coming at us most of us moved out of the way in time.
‘It was so stressful, there were children everywhere.’
The car hit some people before coming to a stop behind other cars nearby, he said.
‘It was really weird how he revved his engine at us, but then just calmly waited behind other traffic like nothing had happened,’ Radoslav added.
‘Fans then starting attacking his car, and it was when he got later down the street away from me he hit more people.
‘When I heard how many people he had injured later on, that was when I realised the gravity of the situation.’
Businesses near the crime scene ‘so quiet’ in the wake of the crash
Giorgia, a waitress at bar La Familigia, said she was ‘lucky’ to escape being hit, but the incident is now causing local businesses to suffer.
She told Metro: ‘It was so scary when it happened – I was just one street away and I could hear all the screams.
‘The street’s still closed, and we would get loads of business from people parking there and walking to us.
‘But it is still taped off and we are so quiet – everyone is somber, I hope people start coming back.’
One hotel worker added her work is now much quieter after the ‘chaos’ of the night before.
The employee, who did not wish to be named, said: ‘It was unbelievable what happened last night.’
‘There were people coming into the hotel lobby having been involved.
‘There was a mum with her children who came in so upset after seeing the whole thing – they just checked out and went home because they didn’t want to stay any more, it was horrible.’
