Simon is a strong supporter of Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star, two organizations that provide palliative care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. The heartwarming song was performed to raise money for these charities.
With the words, “I know how much these organizations mean to you, Simon,” host Dermot O’Leary gently urged Simon to share his feelings. What are you going to say? Simon was so overcome with emotion that he hid his face, managed to mutter, “Oh God,” and started crying.
